Stephen Wesley Owens

Stephen Wesley Owens -Steve- was born December 24, 1947 in Vero Beach Florida. He was the oldest of six children. He graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1966, and married his high school sweetheart Linda -Gail- Brooms in 1967. They had two children together, Darren & Jason Owens before moving to Casper Wyoming in 1976.Steve and Gail divorced in 1980.

In the fall of 2000 he married the love of his life Kathy. Together they built and maintained their home in the foothills of the Rattlesnake Mountains west of Casper. On June 29, 2026 Steve died unexpectedly. He is preceded in death by his parents Felix-Shorty- and Katherine, and his brothers, Dennis and Mike. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy, his sons, Darren and Jason, his grandchildren Jordan, Sydnee, Avery, Noah, Cody, Austin, & Andrew, his three sisters, Linda, Judy, and Debbie, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren. 

There will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Volunteer Fire Fighting organizations of your choice across the state of Wyoming.
