Susan Boyle, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 68 years old.

Born on December 31, 1956, to Marie Connell, a woman who would shape her and become one of her closest friends. Susan was raised primarily in Lander, Wyoming, where she met the love of her life, Kelly Boyle, in high school. The two shared a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time in the mountains. They married young on May 15, 1976, and spent the next 49 years building a life defined by faith, respect, hard work, and deep devotion to one another.

Susan’s greatest calling in life was her family. Together, she and Kelly raised four children: Anthony Boyle (wife Sarah), Heather Stirewalt (husband Ian), Carolyn Scribner (husband Eric), and Andrew Boyle (wife Kelly). Her role as a mother was marked by a fierce love, unwavering dedication, and a desire to show her children Christ. She sacrificed freely for her children’s comfort and wellbeing, never hesitating to put their needs above her own. She raised her children with a strong hand and a compassionate heart—firm in values, and tender in love.

She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Libby, Katie, Ethan, Austin, Gabi, and Blake. Each of them brought her immeasurable joy, and she poured the same guidance, creativity, and love into them as she did her children.

Susan is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kelly Boyle; her children and grandchildren; and her siblings: Rick Connell (wife Donna), Don Connell, and Shawn Connell (husband Ron). She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Kerry Connell.

Susan was a woman of strength and purpose. If she set her mind to something, it got done. That determination shaped every aspect of her life—from working to fix up houses while a stay-at-home mom to transforming her mountain property into a warm, welcoming family home filled with creativity and beauty. Whether she was digging out concrete and mud to replace a basement floor, crafting handmade decorations, or planting a garden, Susan never shied away from hard work. Yet she also carried herself with grace and refinement, knowing how to bring beauty into the everyday.

A gifted artist, Susan had an eye for detail and design. Her home was filled with thoughtful touches—trails with little signs, carefully placed lights on her deck, and seating areas that captured the perfect view. Her creativity was not for show, but an extension of her deep desire to create spaces where people felt peace, welcome, and belonging.

Susan also had a deep love for music and singing, and an even deeper love for her faith. At the age of 20, she came into a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ—a moment that changed her life and the lives of those around her. Her faith became the cornerstone of her marriage, her parenting, and her legacy. She spent countless hours encouraging and teaching her children and grandchildren about the love of God, and the importance of knowing Him personally. For more than 40 years, Susan faithfully served as a song leader, joyfully leading others in worship and praise. She was also a loyal and generous friend, finding joy in praying with and studying God’s Word alongside the people she loved.

Her marriage to Kelly was a true partnership, built on mutual sacrifice, respect, love, and faith. Together they built a life that many admired—a balance of hard work, joy, service, and deep connection. Kelly often credited Susan’s wisdom and support as the key to their success in business and life.

Susan Boyle lived a life that was full, determined, and deeply meaningful. She was a woman who saw beauty in the small things, who gave with her whole heart, and who left every space—and every person—better than she found them.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 11, 2025 at a location to be determined in Casper with a reception to follow.
