Susan Diane Tupper, a cherished wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming, at the age of 75. Born in 1950 in Oakland, California, to Robert D. Breck and Bernice A. Breck, Susan grew up in Hayward and Fremont, California, where her warm and engaging spirit shone brightly.
Susan’s early years were filled with enthusiasm and community involvement. She attended Irvington High School and Ohlone College in Fremont, where she was an active participant in student government and various activities, forging lifelong friendships and leaving a lasting impression. In 1970, Susan married her beloved husband, Herbert K. Tupper, and together they embarked on a new chapter in Everett, Washington. They remained residents of Washington, where Susan built a fulfilling life, until their move to Casper, Wyoming, in 2015.
Professionally, Susan excelled in retail sales and later as an administrative assistant for Rainier News, a book and magazine distribution company in Federal Way, Washington. Her dedication, organizational skills, and ability to connect with others made her a valued colleague and friend. She also enjoyed road trips, following her favorite sports teams the Seahawks and Mariners and an occasional visit to a nearby casino for an electronic poker tournament. After moving to Casper, Susan loved being involved in activities at the Casper Senior Center where she made many close friends and occasionally led exercise classes. She and Herb were also members of the Unitarian Universalist Community and took classes together at Casper College.
Susan’s true passion, however, was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Herbert K. Tupper of Casper; her brother, Robert Breck Jr., and sister-in-law, Bama Breck, of Casper; her sister, Sally Krznarich, and brother-in-law, James Krznarich, of Newcastle, California; her niece, Alison Breck; nephews, Robert Breck III, Alec Krznarich, and Noah Krznarich; and great-nephew, Jackson Breck. Her nurturing presence and genuine care enriched the lives of her family, who will carry her love forward.
Susan’s life was defined by her kindness, quiet strength, dry sense of humor and deep commitment to those she loved. At her request, no memorial service will be held. Her ashes will be spread over the North Platte River during a future family gathering, a fitting tribute to her serene and reflective nature. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to a charity of your choice in Susan’s memory.
Susan’s legacy of love and connection will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
