Tim Frary passed peacefully after a brief illness on August 21, 2024, surrounded by family and listening to some of his favorite music. Born in 1947 in Omaha to Jackie and Vince, Tim was one of four siblings and spent his childhood in Nebraska. He attended Saint Joseph's High School in Beatrice, and was valedictorian of his graduating class in 1966.
Tim served honorably in the United States Air Force before attending the University of Nebraska Medical Center to pursue his calling as a Physician Assistant. He had an incredible passion for patients, delivering care in multiple disciplines over his 42-year career. Tim worked hard to advance the PA profession, serving on state and national-level boards, and he was honored as the AAPA Outstanding Physician Assistant of the Year in 1986. While he practiced in several Nebraska communities and in Vancouver, Washington, Tim's heart was always in Wyoming where he cared for patients for over 33 years and proudly served on the board of Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions.
Whether backpacking, cycling, running or mountain climbing, some of Tim's closest friendships have been built around a shared love of the outdoors. He spent countless hours chronicling his expeditions through the lens of his camera, a hobby that he enjoyed for almost 50 years.
In 1995, Tim found his soulmate, Jennifer, and together they have shared a deep appreciation of nature, a penchant for adventure, a passion for live music and a dedication to family. He instilled in his children the virtues of patience, love, hard work and a respect for all living things.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers (Tom and John) and his sister (Claudia). He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, his children Amy (Travis) Taylor, Wheaton (Ashley) Kremke and Bailey (Kyle) Koster, and his six grandchildren, Jackson, Kannon, Vera, Lettie, Lincoln and Otto.
