Listen to Obituary

Tina Jeanette Wert was born on September 8, 1955, in Bournemouth, England. She was the youngest of five children born to Orville and Rosemarie Hardwick. She spent most of her childhood traveling the world, her father’s successful military career took the family to many different destinations until they finally settled in Colorado Springs where she grew up. As a young adult, she then followed her brother David to Casper, WY and decided to stay and make it her home.

Her love of caring for others was always a priority and eventually led her to a career in health care. She had a love for her residents that went above and beyond and everyone she came across was treated with respect, dignity and kindness. She worked as a CNA for many years and worked her way to becoming a Restorative Therapist Aid at Poplar Living Center where she met Robert Wert, the love of her life.

Robert and Tina had always dreamed of living in the country and finally made that dream come true in 2005 when they bought a house and land, they married in 2007 where they created their definition of heaven. She loved nothing more than the sanctity of her home where she would listen to the Meadowlarks sing and watch the wildlife outside her window. She took in every bit of beauty around her.

Tina took great pride in being a wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker after retiring from years in health care. Her family was everything to her. Her greatest joy was spending time with the ones she loved. She had a huge heart and an even bigger personality. There was never a dull moment or a missed opportunity for her to sneak in one of her quick-witted jokes, sarcasm was an art for Tina and everyone around her appreciated her sense of humor and her ability to make them laugh. There wasn’t a friend that didn’t call her “mom”.

In the following years she fell ill. While her loving husband stood by her side day and night, she persevered, determined to give all she had with an open heart and gratitude. She rarely complained and carried herself with the strength of her faith and never let go of that, she had the heart of a fighter earning the nickname given to her by her husband “Grizzly”. After a long hard battle, Tina passed away peacefully in her home on June 16, 2026 with Robert by her side and their beloved dog Bailey.

Now you can finally be at peace, heaven has a big job preparing for your wise cracks and larger than life personality. It takes a lot of planning to get ready for an amazing woman like you. We love you so much mom. Until we see you again, keep everyone on their toes up there.

Tina is proceeded in death by her parents Orville and Rosemarie Hardwick, her brother David Hardwick and brother Roger Hardwick.

Tina is survived by her husband Robert Wert, two daughters Rose Hardwick and Meloney Travers (Jerry), five grandchildren Gage Hardwick, Joel Wells (Haidyn), Jera Hartford (Josh), Jayci Wells, Joslin Wells and great granddaughter Emily Hardwick, all from Casper, WY. She is also survived by her two brothers Billy and John Hardwick.
