Virginia 'Ginny' Stenger Grimm

Virginia Stenger Grimm, 78, died May 16, 2023, at Banner Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, Wyoming after a short illness. At the time of her death, she was residing in Thermopolis, Wyoming.

She was the youngest of four children of Bert Stenger and Fern Roberta Solomon. She was born July 24, 1944, in Battle Creek, MI. Growing up in Delton, MI, she graduated from Delton Kellogg High School in 1963.

In 1964 she married Everett Cassady and one son was born from this union, Steven Scott Cassady. She was widowed in 1968.

In November, 1970, she married James "Jim" Lee Grimm and one son was born from this union, Jeffrey Alan Grimm. She and Jim moved around where the work took him. They moved to Kirby, Wyoming in 1979. She worked at the Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital from 1988 to 1992 in the housekeeping department. She and Jim, moved back to Michigan for a few years then on to Iowa. She was again widowed in 2008. After being widowed, she then moved to Thermopolis, Wyoming to be closer to her sons and their families.

Virginia loved to collect trinkets and antiques. She loved to crochet and sew, by hand, little outfits for her Yorkie. Her real love was singing and playing the guitar, piano, and ukulele. She was invited to sing on the Rem Wall show in 1964 when she was 19 years old. Whilst living in Kirby, Wyoming, she sang at Steelman's Kirby Club, the Silver Spur and also sang at the Hot Springs County Museum at their Grand Opening.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Scott (Cynthia) Cassady and Jeffrey Alan (Jenifer) Grimm, grandsons Lee Grimm and Brandon Earl, granddaughters Ashley Lapp and Kari Parra and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Fern, siblings and husbands Everett and Jim.
Cremation has taken place and Virginia's family will be having a private family celebration of life.
