Virginia Gale Voelker

Virginia Gale Voelker, born Virginia Gale Godwin, passed away on September 25, 2026, in Casper, Wyoming. She was born on April 29, 1938, in Seagraves, Texas, and lived a life marked by devotion to her family, steady work, and a warm, caring spirit that touched many around her.

Virginia graduated from Brownfield High School in Brownfield, Texas. During her school years, she played volleyball, an early reflection of the energy and enthusiasm she carried throughout her life. She was known as a very loving, caring, and helpful person, and above all, as a very good wife and mother.

She was a homemaker, caring for her family until the passing of her first husband. Later, she worked as a bookkeeper for much of her life, including at the Ramada Inn and Crumm Electric in Casper. Along with her work, Virginia was active in a number of organizations in Casper and the surrounding areas, including Bridgeclub, a bowling league, and New Comers in Evansville. She enjoyed the friendships and fellowship that came through these groups and brought her same welcoming nature to each of them.

Virginia also found joy in simple pleasures and shared times with others. She enjoyed playing cards, poker, bingo, games, bowling, camping and fishing. These interests reflected her lively personality and her love of being with people, laughing, competing, and making memories with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Aylor; her son, Mark Brumley; and Joseph Voelker’s children, T.J. Voelker, Tammy Voelker, Tony Voelker, and Tina (Tim) Rudderow; brothers, Doug (Kay) Godwin and Gary (Sandra) Godwin; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and those who knew her will remember the love, care, and support she gave so freely.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husbands, Odell Brumley and Joseph Voelker; her son-in-law, Ron Aylor; her father, O.B. Godwin; and her mother, Aveline Mahler.
