Wallace E. “Wally” Hloucha, Jr
Wally, 65 of Gillette, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 9, 2026.
Wally was born on September 20,1960 to Wallace E Hloucha, Sr. and Annabell Lora McHone Hloucha in Jerome, Idaho. He was 1 of 5 children born to Wallace and Annabell.
During his early childhood, the family lived in serval towns in Idaho and Minnesota. The family eventually moved back to Shattuck, Oklahoma which was Annabell’s hometown. Wally attended Shattuck schools. He worked at the family full-service gas station and enjoyed visiting with all the customers. After the closing of the station, Wally became employed at the local hospital, Newman Memorial.
In 1986, Wally moved to Gillette, Wyoming. He worked at several different occupations in his younger years, including Plains Tire, Redline Automotive Machine, and Action Motorsports.
Later in life, Wally began working in the methane gas industry where he made many lifelong friends. He was employed by Hanover, Pegasus and Kodiak to name a few. Wally retired in 2024.
Wally has always enjoyed working on hotrods, racing, auctions and billiards. Anyone who knew Wally would attest to the fact that he had a large heart. He was always willing to help anyone.
He would always attend local auctions, car shows, racing events and pool tournaments. He thoroughly enjoyed attending the Junior Billiard League each week. He loved talking and working with them to further their skills.
Wally is survived by 3 brothers, William Hloucha of Gage, Ok, Terry Hloucha of Gillette, WY, Monte Hloucha of Hendersonville, KY and 1 sister, Lola Blankenship of Middleton, ID.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Wallace and Annabell (McHone)Hloucha.
Wally’s wishes were to be cremated and have his ashes spread in the mountains. There will be a later date posted on Wally’s Facebook page to keep family and friends informed. As many of you know, Wally lived every day to the fullest and enjoyed people of all walks of life. With this being said, he did not have a burial fund in place.
