William ‘Bill’ Holly
A son, brother, uncle passed at the age 57 on March 12, 2026.
His love for the outdoors and the cowboy way of life which showed in his meager way of living and the few belongings that he possessed. It was often said that he was born in the wrong era and was an old soul. He lived his life for the animals and the farm lands that he cared for. His faithful dog Sassy remained by his side through the end. His horse Bo is retired and living his best life at the hay bale of his choice. The saddles and spurs have retired and the jingle will no longer be heard. Bill lived the life he loved until his health would not allow him to roam the hills, doctor the cattle, tag the new calves and put up the hay for the next brutal winter storm.
Bill’s primary hobby was playing pool with his friends at the local bar. The last bracket had him in the top spot. His friends had to battle for that spot as Bill was not able to participate in the tournament. He even played in Las Vegas.
He also enjoyed team roping on his trusty steed Bo. The two of them met and made many friends along the way.
Bill’s last words, as he took his last breath were “Over the top”. He was rodeoing on his way out of this world.
He is survived by his mother Carol, sister Dorothy, brother Wilbur, niece Brenda, nephew Benjamin, great nieces: Lilly and Eliana, great nephews: Keenen, Isaac, and Dominic. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
He will be greeted at the pearly gates by those who preceded him: Dad, grandparents, and multiple aunts and uncles. Unknown to Bill his trusty steed Bo also will be greeting him.
A huge thank you to his friends in California who were and are very much like family, for all of their help and support during his illness and last days.
You will not be forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
