William "Bill" Raymond Scott, a cherished member of the Casper community, passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 82 from complications of Diabetes, with his loving wife Peggy by his side. Bill was born on March 30, 1943, in Casper, Wyoming to Raymond and Kathryn (Temple) Scott. He was a family man and a respected professional known for his dedication to public service.
Bill dedicated 40 years of his life as a Park Supervisor for the City of Casper, a role he embraced with passion until his retirement in 2010. Alongside his commitment to the parks, he served with honor as a Sheriff's Reserve Officer, leaving an enduring impact on the safety and well-being of the community he loved.
A proud veteran, Bill served in the Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged, often reflecting on this chapter of his life with gratitude. He held two Bachelor’s degrees in History and English from the University of Wyoming, embodying a lifelong love of learning and a curiosity about the world around him.
Family was the foundation of Bill's life; he was especially proud of his two wonderful sons, William "Bill" Scott (Alicia) and Justin Scott (Reagan), and the seven grandchildren who brought him immense joy: William, Jordynn, Katy, Josslyn, Layne, DaLyla, and Logan Scott. He cherished the moments spent with them, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
Bill had a curiosity for life that extended beyond his professional and familial responsibilities. He enjoyed collecting and shooting guns, a passion for old cars, and a fascination with western and war movies, reflections of his adventurous spirit and appreciation for history.
His legacy is enriched by the memories shared with him. Bill was married to Peggy (Tholl) Scott for 51years, a union that was marked by love and companionship. He also leaves behind his brother, Raymond Scott, along with numerous extended family members who will hold dear the memories they created together.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jerry, Kenny, and Rowland. As we celebrate Bill's remarkable journey, let us remember him not only for his accomplishments but also for the love he shared with those around him. His spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
