Thomas “LeRoy” McCully, Jr. passed away November 15, 2016 at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. He was born February 14, 1942 to Thomas LeRoy McCully, Sr. and Iva Opal Campbell McCully. He had two sisters, Mary Ellen McCully Meidell and Marilyn Elaine McCully Meredith. Also, two brothers, Vernie Joe McCully and Bobby Jay McCully.

LeRoy married Ida E. Phillips in 1960 until 1978, together they had two children, Terry Lee McCully and Marlene Kay McCully Johnson. He then married Veta Jo Denny in 1979 until 2010. They had six children, Steven Finkemeier, Cheryl Finkemeier Rose, Mark Cash, Penny Cash, Craig Denney, and David Denney.

LeRoy was the oldest of 5 children. He spent his young years in Mullen, Nebraska. LeRoy started school in Thedford, Nebraska, and then went to Mullen for elementary thru high school.

After high school he started working for Peter Kiewit Road Construction. He helped build the irrigation canal from Merritt Reservoir. He then followed road construction all around Nebraska. After years of work with Peter Kiewit Road Construction he started at Cherry County Department of Roads after moving to Valentine, Nebraska with his family.

He worked at that job until the move to Casper, where he met the love of his life, Iva.

He worked at Moss Equipment Western Equipment as Sales and Parts Specialist. LeRoy displayed excellent customer service, very dependable, and he was always willing to help.

He was preceeded in death by his parents; daughter, Penny Cash; granddaughter, Samantha Cash; son, Terry McCully; wife, Veta McCully; and mother in law, Loretta Smith.

He is survived by his children, Marlene Kay Johnson, Steve (Lisa) Finkemeier, Cheryl (Chuck) Rose, Mark (Myra) Cash, Craig (Robin) Denney, and David (Nancy) Denney; grandchildren, Scott Johnson, Michelle (Brady) Johnson Davis, Sheena (Ed) Johnson Hecker, Jacob Johnson, Kyline Finkemeier, Torin Finkemeier, and Rayha Finkemeier, Christy (Karl) Rose, Jennifer, Shyanna, Chelsie, Waylane, Tasha, Michael, Crystal, Blake Cash, Megan Cash, Michael Cash, Alisha Denney, Tabbitha Denney, Emily Denney, Curtis (Chantrelle) Denney, and Kim Denney. great grandchildren, Trinton Uecker, Madison Davis, Caleb Davis, Tripp Uecker, Abbygail Davis, Jadon Davis, Taelie Uecker, Mason Denney, Presley Denney, and Rylee Denney, Zayria Denney, Brennan Denney, and Carter Denney; Sisters, Mary Ellen (Richard) Meidell and Marilyn (Leon) Meredith; brothers, Venie (Barb) Joe McCully and Bobby Jay McCuly; and numerous nieces and nephews.
