Betty Ann Black, age 84, of Casper, passed away December 4, 2017 at Life Care Center of Casper. Betty was born August 12, 1933 in Pomeroy, Washington to Lester and Eleanor (Williams) Trescott. She attended Northwest Christian College where she obtained a Bachelor of Christian Education in Eugene, Oregon. She was an active member of First Christian Church since 1958, serving in a variety of roles. She was the Director of Religious Education for five years, served 3 terms as an Elder and worked as the church secretary until her retirement in 1995. Other employment included serving as the church secretary at Winter Memorial Presbyterian Church, Equitable Life Insurance and Meals on Wheels, all in Casper. She was very involved with the church, InterFaith, Izaac Walton League and TOPS, in all of which she had many cherished friends. Her hobbies included reading, putting together jigsaw puzzles, baking cookies and traveling, including many camping trips throughout the years with her precious family.

In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, J. Kirby Black and infant son, Kenneth Black. She is survived by her sons, Brian (Jenny) Black, Russell (Julie) Black, Rick (Teri) Black, 2 sisters, Mary May of Gulf Breeze, FL and Donna Latham of Clermont, FL, 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at First Christian Church, 520 CY Avenue, Casper, WY, 82601.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations may be made to First Christian Church in Betty's memory, to help with student scholarships.
