Della May Smith, 94, of Casper, passed away on August 6, 2015 at Central Wyoming Hospice.
She was born on July 28, 1921, Mitchell, Nebraska to Earl Walter and Rosa Rebecca (Baughman) Castle. She graduated Douglas High School, Douglas, WY.
She was a member of United Methodist Church in Douglass and member of the Fraternal Eagles and Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Casper.
Della married Albert E. Smith in May 1964 in Casper. He preceded her in death in 1981.
O' Della is survived by her loving three daughters, Linda Ann (Don) Hensley of Evansville, WY, Shirley Jane Tiber of Guthrie, OK, Rebecca A. Hopple of Oklahoma; two sons, Paul W. (Billie Rose) Smith of Bakersfield, CA and David G. Smith of Eagle Mt., UT; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Donald J. (Betty) Castle, Connecticut.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean Castle, Cathy Meger, Lou Ann Bentham, Lucille Exley and Betty Jane Kirjouski.
Della enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, playing Bingo and cards.
Honoring her request, Della was cremated. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM atVWF Memorial Post 9439, 1800 Bryan Stock Trail. Inurnment will be at Douglas Park Cemetery, Douglas, WY.
