In Memory Of
Jack B. Gale
1925 - 2016

Jack Byron Gale was born in Casper, WY February 3, 1925, the son of Lura and Ernest Gale. Jack graduated from NCHS, entered the army infantry and served in the Philippines. He was wounded in the Battle of Luzon in the Philippines and received the Purple Heart and combat infantry badge and sent home.
Jack was perhaps best known in Casper for his skill in playing tennis. He won multiple titles, both city and state. He kept his love of tennis throughout his entire life, and played regularly into his 70’s.

Jack worked at the Amoco Refinery for 36 years. He met the love of his life, Wilma Stewart, at a party, and they were married 58 happy years. He passed on his love for fishing, backpacking, and camping to his children. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He died at home, surrounded by his family, and deeply loved.

Jack will be missed by all who knew him for his dry humor, undemanding personality and quiet wisdom. His legacy is the strong family he built.

Jack is survived by his wife Wilma, his two sons Ernie Gale and Sam Gale, his daughter Sandra Preisler, and his three grandchildren Taylor Preisler, McKenna Gale and Ryley Preisler.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 2nd, at Newcomer Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 a.m.
