Our family is announcing the passing of our beloved Jerry Dean. He was born in Bridgeport, Nebraska on October 12, 1948. He grew up in Casper, Wyoming where he graduated from NCHS in 1968. He slipped away in a hospital in Southern California on October 16, 2018 from complications associated with a heart failure. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a great friend too many. Jerry loved his family and his friends and above all the Lord. He loved his country and proudly served in the US Navy where he was an aircraft fueler aboard the USS Midway. The Seventh Fleet took him to many ports throughout the Pacific-including the Philippines and Vietnam. Jerry loved the outdoors,fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle. He had many hobbies including metal detecting, wood carving, rock polishing and writing. Jerry loved the great state of Wyoming and his beloved Cowboys and Denver Broncos. Although he suffered for many years from physical ailments, his relationship with the Lord never faltered.

He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Betty Stowe, sons, Mike and Chad, step daughter Jennifer,Grandchildren Maria, Ashton, Peyton, Chandler, Chevy and Myka.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM followed by procession from Newcomers Funeral Home Chapel to Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery where services will start at 1:30 PM. The family will host a reception following the services at 4:00 PM at Chad and Tina Dean’s -1260 South Forest Drive.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations made in Jerry’s name to the Casper Humane Society or The Landing, “housing for veterans in Casper”, CO/O CHA Cares 145 N. Durbin, Casper, WY 82601.
