Richard Wayne Pratt, 73, of Casper, WY passed away Dec 6, 2018 at Wyoming Medical Center.

Wayne was born to Mildred (Chaussert) Pratt and Richard (Dick) Pratt on Oct 29,1945 in Scottsbluff, NE. He was raised in Cheyenne and graduated from Cheyenne East in 1964. He attended University of Hawaii, Sheridan College and University of Wyoming before being drafted into the Army in 1969. He served in Vietnam where he survived two serious injuries and was the recipient of numerous medals including two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Service Star. He married Julie Bush in 1980 and they were blessed with one son, Kyle. They moved to Casper, WY in 1987.

He was active in the local carpenter's union and was a very talented carpenter. He enjoyed camping, boating and fishing but his greatest pride and joy came from raising Kyle and helping him in the younger years with baseball and skiing. Unfortunately bad health disabled him at a young age and he struggled with health issues until his death.

Wayne is survived by his wife, son Kyle and his wife Jessica, and his grandchildren Eli and Kinsley. He is also survived by Woody Pratt, his son from a previous marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents.

No services are planned at this time.
