Joyce Ann Kassman, 72, of Casper, WY passed away peacefully Friday March 1, 2019 at Wyoming Medical Center after battling Cancer.
She was born to the late Hugh and Margaret Rideout , July 16,1946, in Evansville, IN. She married the late Ardell L Kassman in 1969, and they lived together in Colorado and Montana before settling in Casper, WY.
Joyce was a Daycare owner for many, many years until her husband passed in 1998. She always had a deep love for kids and helping them grow and learn, She was the “Go To” mom to many of her children’s friends throughout the years she enjoyed having a house full of kiddos’s at any time . She was always there to help out in any way she could. After that she settled into the role of “Granny Nanny” and helped care for her grandchildren and eventually her great-grandchildren. Her Grandchildren are what made her smile brighter and were the people she held nearest and dearest to her heart, she beamed with pride over each and every one. She always had a song to sing or a story to tell, she was there to help out whenever and to whomever needed it. She loved sewing, crafting, and swinging outside at night chatting with her neighbors. When she wasn’t spoiling her grandkids she spoiled her best friend and companion her little dog Annie. Joyce loved family time, big family dinners or just backyard BBQ’s anytime everyone was together made her heart happy.
Joyce is survived by her children: Amy (Pat) Allen of Casper, WY; Danielle Dugdale of Missoula, MT; Brett Kassman, unknown. 8 grandchildren: Kylie (Drew) Kassman, Peighton (Javi) Drake; Isabella and Jacques Allen all of Casper, WY ; Kassie (Riley) Yates of Montrose, Co; Jesse (Sierra) Allen of Pocatello ,ID ; Ashley Dugdale of Washington, DC ; Sam Dugdale of Great Falls, MT. 4 great grandchildren; Emmett, Everly, Malina and Thomas. 3 siblings: Bo (Doris) Rideout of Kersey, CO; Linda (Kenny) Nab of Sterling, CO ; Rhonda (George) Stewart of Casper, WY , and many wonderful Nieces, Nephews ,Great-Nieces and Great Nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Margret Rideout, her twin sister, and her husband Ardell L Kassman.
A memorial service will be held at Restoration Church on March 16, 2019 at 10:00 am. She will be laid to rest in Sterling, Co later this summer.
