Christina Mae "Chris" Reutner
1938 - 2019

Christina "Chris" Mae Reutner, of Casper, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2019 at Life Care Center of Casper at the age of 80. Chris was born to on December 15, 1938 in Edgemont, SD. After graduating from Newcastle High School, Chris attended nursing school at the University of Wyoming. She married Wayne Reutner on October 10, 1959 in Freeport, IL. They moved to Newcastle, WY, where they raised their family. Wayne owned and operated Reutner Construction Company. Chris was employed as a nurse for more than 20 years. Later Chris was a director of a daycare center and then eventually worked at Safeway for almost 20 years. Chris attended First Assembly of God in Newcastle and served as the kids church teacher. Once their children were grown, Wayne and Chris moved to be near their daughter Venetta and her family in Greeley, CO. In 2001 Wayne and Chris retired and relocated to Casper to be near Brian and Traci and their families. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church and also Hebrew Roots Congregation of Casper. Her greatest pleasure in life was supporting her kids and grandkids as they participated in their various youth activities. Chris truly never met a stranger. She made everyone feel welcome and loved.

Chris was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Wayne "Yogi" Reutner; her parents, Everett and Evelyn (Humphrey) Sallee; and two brothers, Everett Sallee and Kenneth Sallee. She is survived by her daughter Venetta (Doug) Mitich, her son Brian Reutner, her daughter Traci (Josh) Blom, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and her three siblings -- Cecil Sallee, Kathy Scheline, and Harold Sallee.

A memorial service will be held at Hebrew Roots Congregation of Casper (River of Life Church) on Wednesday, May 15 at 2:00 PM.
