One of the finest men I have ever met. Paul’s passing left a huge gap in our society. Dry humor, tough as nails and the stories he shared. Sometimes I could not stop laughing. He served our country through the military, a hero. He raised awesome sons. I will miss him … Rest In Peace Paul …

The world is out-of-balance with the loss of such an outstanding person. Paul was my best friend ever! I met him in 1977 at the University of Wyoming while completing his PhD dissertation. Since that time, we developed a close friendship that lasted until now. I always looked forward to seeing Paul, when he stopped by my office at the Wyoming Geological Survey in Laramie, as well as days we broke rocks on the outcrop together. Then there were other times we exchanged stories in my office.
One of the greatest experiences of my life was when Paul hired me to help search for gold in Kuskokwim Mountains of Alaska in 1988 and 1989 for WestGold [I posted photos of Paul on my blog (donlincreek dot blogspot dot com)]. What a great time! Bears, Bush pilots, Rocks, Gold, Eskimos, and more Bears! We were tent mates and I introduced Paul to the art of pranking. Paul was a wonderful victim as he was always so focused on gold and rocks, he missed someone placing sticks and rocks under sleeping bags, locking others in the outhouse, forgetting cameras, and floating his Mills Brothers tape in the Donlin Creek pond.
Thank you so very much Paul for the wonderful memories. God bless you! I look forward to the time I will see you in God's mountains in another dimension. For those of you who did not know Paul, you missed out on one of the greatest experiences in life. Rest in peace my friend!

I had the honor of getting to know Paul through a somewhat misbehaving group of guys who met regularly for coffee. He always filled our conversations with color and humor.
He built a couple of benches for my home which were top quality. He refused payment, but was happy to share the gift of his handiwork as well his giving spirit.
His service for our community was deep and, I'm sure, often unsung. That devotion to people was instilled and is carried on in each of his children. Thank you, Lord, for sharing Paul Graff with Wyomig.
